I did not see an area to dance but the food is really good
Hi! No, we don’t have pulled pork nachos. You can visit our website at www.mudlicktaphouse.com to view our current menu! Cheers!
There is plenty of on-street metered parking close. But no need to pay meters after 6p or on weekends.
Really awesome dinner experience! The food was delicious and flavorful; it was hard to pick from all the great options. Our server Jacob was very nice and very personable. He made great recommendations and we were very pleased with what we ordered. The restaurant itself is comfortable and quite down-to-earth. I appreciate their locally sourced ingredients and the fact that our drinks did not come with straws. 10/10 will visit again!
We stopped for an after work drink and appetizer to unwind from the stress of the day. The drinks were well done, the pretzel and beer cheese was delicious. It was my first time visiting their business and it was a neat experience due to the pleasant staff and interesting atmosphere and decor. The building has a history and shows with the interior design. It feels comforting and warm with several places to sit for small to large groups upstairs. We will be returning in the future.
Delicious burger that was perfectly cooked and best fries around town. Super friendly service. Only negative is that we requested a booth and were rudely told none were available and proceeded to eat at a table right in front of an empty booth for our entire meal. Still giving 5 stars due to our server who turned this around and was extremely kind and attentive!!
It was my first time here. When I walked in the staff was very inviting and very friendly. I sat down at the bar and before I could get comfortable, about two to three bartenders were asking for my drink order. The place is very clean, the atmosphere is excellent and HAPPY HOUR is absolutely awesome. I have the pork belly and the Mess Burger. The food was certainly tasty and cooked to perfection. The next time I'm in Dayton, OH, I will certainly be back the way dinner and to participate in Happy Hour. You should check them out too!If you are every in Dayton, stop by and tell em Drew sent ya!Be Easy Drew✌🏾
Great spot! Good selection of craft brews from local breweries and beyond. Food is outstanding as well. Plenty of space inside, and a few seats outside as well. We will definitely be coming back.
Stopped in with my family on a Saturday during brunch service. Friendly staff and great decor! Service is speedy and accurate. A little pricey for the portion size, though. The Gem City Poutine is amazing! Loved the Chorizo Gravy and Biscuits, too. We ordered two burgers at medium temperature (some pink), but one was overdone. Still, a very promising menu & meal.
Excellent food and service. Felt completely safe (COVID) Thanks!
Loved everything about this place. The staff was warm. Food was excellent. Falafel sandwich was great, fries were made from fresh potatoes and cocktail and beer were fantastic. And all this was served in a very nice ambience.
Delicious with friendly staff! Bring back this dish of french toast with berries please it was the best!
Innovative food. Really great brunch. I dine out a lot. I'm always pleased to see something unique on a menu. There were many here. I will be back to try them all!
Went for brunch post Covid (June 2020) and it was wonderful. Their menu was slightly shorter but still delicious with great service.
Great burger, ok fries. I kind of wish places had options for french fries, I love crispy fries and the potatoey ones just don't do it for me. Seems like it would be a simple thing to have two options. But the burger was delicious, and many people like that type of fries. Probably really a 4.5 star place, but I'll round up.
This is one of my favorite spots to go in Dayton. The food is excellent and they have a good draft selection. The service is always nice, friendly, and attentive. Plus, the building and the Mudlick name has some very cool history behind it!
Great food and beer!
Second time going. I, personally, like this place. The only issue I have with it is the consistency of food and drink. First time I went, the pretzels and beer cheese were amazing.... Second time, didn't finish them because the cheese must wasn't that good. Ordered a medium steak and got it rare. Overall, good place for made from scratch food, just not the BEST place.
Go! Everything was awesome from top to bottom. Brian was a very hospitable server. I was raving about the delicious coffee (for $3?!) that they have brought in. So glad I sprung for the crab cake brunch...hollandaise and asparagus to boot! Would come every Sunday if we lived here.
Dave the bartender during our visit was knowledgeable on the beers, all craft if I recall. The food is amazing! I know many say that about a lot of places but imo, just the fact that their menu items are not the “usual” yet are is what separates this place. We are from Phoenix and there’s plenty of similar joints but this one is different by the food alone. Their beers are also broken down and on a tv screen to choose. Back to food, definitely try the Wiki Leeks and maple bacon brussel sprouts. I ain’t no vegetarian but if all veggies were this good I could be one!
Went here Saturday evening. Great selection of Craft Beer. And Great burger👍🏾
Very good burger and chicken salad. Service was friendly and polite. Clean restroom. Street parking. Little pricey. $2.95 soft drinks. $11 for third pound burger and 2 oz. chips. $2 to substitute fries, soup or salad. Why? Chips in a bag not made there. Good beer selection. Quiet and not crowded Saturday lunch.
Very nice atmosphere. Seemed to have only been two people on the clock but even when several tables filled up after I arrived. The sevice was still prompt and couteous. The prices were a little higher than expected but both meals were delicious and filling.
Very good. Great atmosphere. Cool building.
Did not go. No dine in during covid
What a disappointment. I've been here several times in the past and enjoyed food. I went this evening, the fries that you pay an extra $2.00 for with burger were cold and a meager serving. The burger arrived lukewarm. There was a decent crowd, but many had eaten and left by the time I placed my order. It took much longer than in the past to get the food, which was surprising for the remaining crowd size.
Laid back atmosphere very enjoyable food and drink selection
Great food. Great variety. Little on the pricey side for this low paying Child Care provider lol. Great staff too
Great atmosphere! The Reuben was a little too thick for my personal taste but still good.
The food was delicious. I recommend the mudlick burger and fries. The fries are well seasoned and diverse levels of crunchy to potatoey. Clearly home made. Great beer selection on tap.Service was poor and food took awhile to come out. They also charge a 20% "service fee" so don't tip unless you hate your money. Was not told about service fee. Minus 1 star. Restaurants that have to charge a service fee without publishing it are inherently inferior and are 1 star behind all other restaurants. That's a fact!
Food was quite excellent, but the wait for food was excessive. Despite a waitlist place on Yelp, had to wait 45 minutes for an upstairs table, where there were multiple tables open! My appetizer came out after the table entrees. The excuse of being "very busy" or having a very small kitchen didn't make my experience more enjoyable. I would think twice about going back for a meal.
Fries were excellent and unique. Reuben sandwich wasn't that great - meat had too many hard fatty bits, and the sauerkraut didn't have much zing. Jarlsberg cheese was a nice touch though! There's enough good here I'd try them again but would get something else.
My husband and I was greeted quickly at the door and was seated in a nice size booth that could fit up to 6 people. The atmosphere was relaxed and chilled. Our server was Brad and he was very friendly and helped us navigate the menu. The food is priced well and portions that match. They have beer on draft, bottles, and mix drinks. They do have a desserts but we did not order any. The upstairs has additional seating for bigger parties or a private party and has it's own bar. They also have happy hour mon-fri. Only downfall is there is only street parking. I would visit again for sure.
Waited an hour for our meals. Paid $16 each for a burger and fries that was just OK. The descriptions of the meals sound phenomenal, but the results aren't so much. I had the Colonel Mustard burger, which is supposed to have a "handful of fried leeks". The actual burger had 5 small pieces of fried leek totalling not even 1 whole leek. The burger and fries were worth $10 at best. Don't pay for more than a Thurman burger when you get so much less in both quality and quantity. We also noticed other disappointed patrons. I'll give Mudlick another chance if changes are made, but as is, nope.
Great place to eat and the atmosphere is cool! We had handhelds and hummas appetizer! Really good food and different items you can't get elsewhere!
My husband and I visited for dinner on a weekday evening. It was a nice quiet little place with AMAZING food and a fabulous drink menu. We can't wait to go back and try more.
Interesting menu and good service. Great beer selection!
We had a private event, the catered food was fantastic. The drinks were good. The area around the restaurant is a bit sketchy, but if you don't mind that, it's a great place to check out. Park across the street after 5 and it should be free.
Absolutely Amazing! Awesome Food, Beer Selection, Atmosphere, and Service!!!
Food and drinks are great. Good service. Everyone was so nice explaining the menu items.
The food was amazingly fresh and appeared to have been made with quality ingredients. Flavors were on par. Drink selection was good. Prices are higher than I typically want to pay, but the tradeoff was excellent food. Uniquely inspired atmosphere that was trendy. Service was as expected, no less and no more.
First time here during the pandemic and I have to say that the prices are fair, the drinks and food selections are equally as good. Fast and friendly service to boot.
This is a fun discovery in downtown Dayton, and it's easy to find. They have craft beers, salads, burgers, chicken, fish, and shrimp, even a vegetarian sandwich. While some menu items are a little quirky, our food (for 3 of us) was well prepared and tasty. Be prepared to spend $15 to 35 per person.
Interesting menu. Quaint little place. Eclectic staff.
Awesome bar with a great vibe. They have a great selection of drinks, including cocktails. The service was excellent, and everything was quality. We want to come back and try a meal! It wasn't too crowded or loud, which we appreciated, (because it isn't in a busy restaurant area of downtown). We will definitely be repeat customers here.
The food was great and our server was funny and very helpful. The owner came and spoke with my daughter and I about the Carmel Stout cake that was great! Love the lite icing. Will be returning.
This spot is worth trying. They serve big portions for convenient prices. Regularly well organized and with excellent vibes. Will visit here again.
The food/drinks and service was great. I really enjoyed the unique paring of items.
I used to view this place as one of the best places for food and drinks in Dayton, but this morning at the special Griswold Family Christmas brunch the Bloody Marie tasted like shrimp cocktail sauce, and my eggs Benedict wasn't warm at all. They weren't even warm enough to melt a single slice of cheddar cheese placed unceremoniously on the biscuit.Generally I'd write this off as it being Christmas eve and being crowded, but it really wasn't particularly busy at all. Not to mention that at the prices that Mudlick charges I really do expect more from them. I doubt I'll be returning, there are too many other wonderful places to eat and drink in Dayton.
Nice place. Friendly bartender. Great selection. And great food.
Good food, nice beer selection and overall an excellent value. Not lots downtown in Dayton I could find.
Some of the appetizers were alright. Nothing special. Decent selection of drinks. My spouse ordered the lobster carbonara, but the bacon was literally burnt ends. The rest was fine. I had the nawlin grits. Pork was mostly fine. The cheese grits had no flavor, we're cold and had become a texture fitting of finger food. I sent it back for a pretzel. If I ever come back, it'll be on a slow weekday where hopefully I can see the true potential. This, however, was a let down.
Shrimp & Grits (not on the menu) was absolutely incredible! Best grits I've ever had. Moscow Mule was definitely in my top 3 ever too. Only complaint was that the chicken with chicken & waffle was pulled and not very flavorful. But the rosemary syrup and candied walnuts made up for it!
